Security and safety

    The guidelines below are precautionary measures to ensure your safety during a hike:

  • Never walk alone.
  • Carry a first aid kit.
  • If you are walking without a local guide, inform someone on which trail you are going to hike and when you plan to return.
  • Dehydration/sunstroke can be a major risk particularly in summer. Drink enough water, take rests in the shade, and protect your head from the sun.
  • Sunburn is a risk all year round, so make sure you always wear sunscreen and reapply it regularly.
